Yukon Liberals release platform for a stronger, more affordable, and sustainable Yukon

Posted by Yukon Liberal Party President on October 16, 2025

WHITEHORSE, YT – Today, the Yukon Liberals released their platform for the next territorial election, outlining a bold, progressive plan to make life better for Yukoners over the next four years.

This platform is built on a simple principle: when Yukoners thrive, the Yukon thrives. It reflects the priorities that matter most to families, seniors, workers, and communities across the territory. From housing and healthcare to energy, economic opportunity, arts, and community safety, the Yukon Liberals are presenting a roadmap to build a stronger, healthier, and more resilient territory.

The platform was shaped directly by conversations with Yukoners, including residents in every community, stakeholders in housing, health, and education, and local businesses and non-profits. It combines fresh ideas and new energy from a team of experienced and emerging leaders, reflecting a commitment to innovation, collaboration, and results.

This platform is about more than promises—it’s about practical, measurable impact: housing more Yukoners, lowering electricity costs, expanding access to healthcare, improving mental health and wellness, creating economic opportunities, and building communities where everyone feels safe, included, and supported. It’s about positioning Yukon for the future while delivering results today.

"This platform reflects the voices and priorities of Yukoners from every community. Housing, healthcare, and affordability are what matter most, and this plan meets those needs while building real partnerships for Reconciliation and a strong, sustainable economy. I’m proud of the hardworking, diverse team we’ve built from rural Yukon to Whitehorse and together we’re ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work.”

- Mike Pemberton, Leader of the Yukon Liberal Party
