It’s go time!

In Carcrross today, Premier Mike Pemberton announced the that the territorial election will be called October 3, and will be held Monday November 3. Flanked by a strong Liberal team, Mike laid out 5 key themes for the election andd a Yukon Liberal Government: housing, health care, affordability, the economy, and partnerships with First Nations. He reminded the crowd that people are feeling divided, tired, and frustrated — but insisted that together we can be stronger.

These priorities line up closely with the five pillars the Yukon Liberals promote on their site:

1. A home for every Yukoner

2. Making life more affordable

3. Accessible care for every Yukoner

4. Strong, sustainable economy

5. Partnership and reconciliation

I believe those pillars ground this campaign in what really matters. In Riverdale North, I’ll work to turn them into action: more affordable housing, better access to health care, policies that ease cost burdens, economic opportunities for everyone, and true, respectful partnerships with First Nations.

The Premier’s speech in Carcross set the tone. Now it’s up to us to carry it forward to our streets, homes, and conversations.
